Learn the secrets to schmoozing, from introducing yourself and starting conversations with complete strangers to perfecting your small talk and exiting conversations gracefully. Work the room like a pro with special networking techniques that include remembering names and using proper business card etiquette. Whether your aim is to build your business, increase your personal contacts or just meet more people, you'll benefit from this practical course. The Art of Listening

Improved listening skills can help you to enhance your personal relationships and maximize your business opportunities. The Art of Public Speaking (2 Sessions)

Do you fear speaking in public or feel you are not as effective as you could be when making a presentation? Overcome your fear by learning and applying the techniques professionals use to develop and deliver dynamic speeches and presentations. In this practical three-session course, taught by communications specialist Marianne Rowe, you’ll discover the nine most common mistakes people make when speaking in public and how to make a positive lasting impression on your audience. You’ll have lots of opportunity to practice your newly developed skills in class and will receive feedback as well as a videotape you can keep for future reference.

In this class, led by Marianne Rowe, you’ll learn etiquette tips that will help you feel relaxed and confident at social and business events. Dine with ease, knowing what all those plates and utensils are for, in which direction to pass and what to do when you leave the table. You’ll also learn about email and voice mail etiquette, introductions, hosting or attending parties, gifting, meeting etiquette and more.
